Before You Give

Honest Answers to Fair Questions

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Form and Power is a nonprofit corporation and our application for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status is pending. Upon approval, tax-exempt status is ordinarily effective retroactively to our date of formation, which would make gifts given now deductible. We will notify every donor the moment our determination letter arrives, and a receipt is emailed for every gift so your records are ready.

Where does my gift actually go?

Gifts support the general ministry of Form and Power and are not restricted to a specific church: bringing ABC to churches, building the volunteer network and sustaining free access to the recording platform, and creating discipleship materials. We hold every gift as a sacred trust, and annual financial information will be published beginning with our first completed fiscal year.

Can I change or cancel my monthly gift?

Yes, anytime. Email giving@formandpower.org and we will change the amount or stop future payments. Please allow up to 3 business days for the change to take effect. If a payment processes before we see your request, let us know and we will gladly refund it. Monthly gifts are charged on the same day of the month you first gave.

Can I give by check, donor-advised fund, or stock?

Gladly. Checks: make payable to Form and Power and mail to 1134 E Collinwood Cir, Opelika, AL 36801. For donor-advised funds or stock, email giving@formandpower.org and we will work through your fund's process personally. Note for foundations and donor-advised funds: many require our 501(c)(3) determination letter before granting; we're glad to discuss timing that works with your requirements.

Is online giving secure?

Yes. Online checkout is handled by Stripe, the payment platform used by millions of organizations. Your card details go directly to Stripe; Form and Power never sees or stores them. See the question above for how to change or cancel a monthly gift.

Can I talk with someone before giving?

Please do. Every gift here is received by a person, not a portal. Book 30 minutes with the founder email giving@formandpower.org, or call (334) 708-0199; you'll get a real reply from the person carrying the work.
